Peace has a pace

Short documentary below

What is
Harmonic Breathwork™?

The Harmonic Breathwork Method™ is a gentle embodiment technique that invites you to breathe in time with specially-made music – pacing your breath at specific, slow speeds that are proven to help the body enter a healing state.

It’s a subtle but incredibly powerful practice – By combining rhythmic breathing with awareness – consciously using your imagination in simple, creative ways, the technique aligns the body and mind and reliably unlocks measurable benefits within 6-weeks of practice.

Through simple sounds, guided practice, and flowing breath, the technique helps you to effortlessly unlock nourishing states of calm on command, process and enjoy your emotions, and foster a deeper, more present connection to your body and the world around you with each session.

By breathing in harmony with Aria Breath music, you breathe harmony into your body. Literally. From your heartbeat and blood pressure, to your brainwaves and modal networks; your body’s internal rhythms begin to align with and entrain each other, and it is your breath that conducts this orchestra.

Your mind and body begin to harmonise, which is experienced as a deep sense of calm. And with continued practice, even your personal relationships can become more harmonious due to slow breathing’s proven effects on your nervous system.

Breathing with the music is just the beginning. Once you have cultivated the state of calm relaxation, Aria’s Harmonic Awareness Practices will lead you into enriching states of embodiment that allow you to connect to your true inner self.

Your world is made of rhythm

What practitioners experience…

How it works…

It’s breath-takingly simple…

Your breath is the most fundamental bodily function that you can consciously control, so even subtle, changes to it make profound changes to your experience.

One of the most simple variables you can change in your breath is it’s speed. And slowing your breath to around 5 or 6 breaths per minute for just 10 to 20 minutes a day, leads to huge changes for your body and mind.

The slow rhythm leads to foundational changes in the nervous system, blood chemistry and brainwaves that practitioners can feel as profoundly deep states of calm within minutes.

It is well researched that slow, rhythmic breathing is one of the simplest and easiest, evidence-based ways to radically improve your health.

But…

almost no one does it…

why?

Because, it’s boring to practice, it’s hard to focus on breathing for long periods of time, and even if you can focus, it’s difficult to know if you’re getting the speed right, and… did we mention… it’s also very boring to practice?

But when you add music, all of that changes

By breathing with music:

✓ You double your potential for calm – the calming effects of the slow breathing-rate are strengthened by soothing music.

✓ It’s far easier to stay focused on the breath than in formal meditation – Pacing in time with music means you also get the benefits of mindfulness effortlessly.

✓ It’s more engaging than other forms of breathwork and meditation.

✓ Music allows you to embody and explore emotional experience as part of your meditation.

✓ You can breathe together to feel connected, in time with other people and groups

✓ Having music choices means you constantly reinvent your practice and stay motivated.

✓ And most importantly…
… you know that you’re breathing at the right rhythm and getting the proven benefits

The “missing piece” in meditation…

The real benefits of slow, rhythmic breathing have been known in scientific circles for decades; so why doesn’t everyone practice it?

The reason is simple – until now, there hasn’t been a good collection of high-quality breath-pacing music for people to choose from, absorb themselves in, and actually enjoy.

We believe that carefully-considered music, written by real people, adds something important – something that humans have a deep unconscious need for…

The power to connect…

It’s been a long process…

… over a five-year development period we tested our music with groups of people from all walks of life… from music festivals and corporate events, to schools, yoga classes, high-end wellbeing retreats and simply working one-on-one.

So what’s the one thing our listeners all have in common?…

They all feel more connected, not just to themselves, but to the complete strangers around them, after breathing with Aria Breath music.

Many anthropologists believe that music precedes language as a form of communication and connection. When we combine the emotive power of music with its capacity to synchronise our nervous systems, we unlock new levels of capacity for connection with other people.

The applications for this are endless, whether working with teams, yoga classes, families, interpersonal disputes, business, personal, and even intimate relationships.
