  • The 2-Day Training covers everything that you need to know to be able to guide over, share, and be creative with music from the Aria Breath library; with a focus on participant experience.

On day one you will be taught how to:

Introduce and explain the fundamental technique in simple-to-understand and inspiring ways.

Safely prepare participants mentally and physically.

Warm up participants with simple breath coaching.

Combine supporting techniques to make practice easier for beginners.

Co-regulate others subtly and effectively using our unique voice-based coaching philosophy.

Get creative with guidance and music.

With these important basics covered, on day two we study the breathing session experience in detail from the participant's perspective.

This allows you to appreciate where people can begin to struggle; Where people can go deeper; And how to help if they are getting stuck.

This participant-centred approach to teacher training gives you an intuitive understanding of how to work naturally with the mind and nervous system, in the best possible way, throughout any session.

There are a number of other short, interactive workshops inside the two-day training on supporting topics – all designed to increase teaching confidence.

You will leave the training confident that you know how to guide sessions… and inspired to develop your own teaching style now that you know where to get creative.

  • You are also supplied with an extensive teacher manual to read at home that covers all the topics covered in more detail, as well as additional topics, alternative script suggestions, session plans, and creative teaching suggestions.

The manual is continuously updated, developed, and expanded in line with teacher experience, and feedback.

After joining the teaching community, there are irregular check-in events with special guest expert teachers.

You will also be given access to an additional video library within the app specifically aimed at teachers. Including tips videos, training recordings, and exclusive interviews with experts in the space.

  • A small range of special tracks are supplied for this purpose as MP3 files so that you can create your own original recordings and share with your students.

A simple, “how-to” video is shared with you after the training so that you can follow-along and quickly record your own high-quality guided breathwork sessions to share with your clients (no software purchase necessary).

  • Absolutely, a number of therapists have completed the training for this exact purpose and have reported fantastic client results.

The training covers advice on multiple-use scenarios for Aria Breath music – session-based, combined with other therapies, and supporting other activities.

  • Yes. How to share via Zoom is explicitly covered on the training and inside the supporting manual.

  • The training is specific, but not restrictive. A script is provided for your comfort and confidence at the start of your teaching experience.

We pick apart this script within the training to ensure you understand what features and stages of a session are fundamental to positive participant experience.

You are then taught how to and invited to deviate from the script and bring in your own creativity.

  • The initial (Breathe-In Harmony) course included with your membership is treated as a foundation and covers the ideal breathing mechanics and supporting science in detail.

This is offered as a video course but is repeated live, online each year and is free to all members so that you can attend live if you wish.

Having this course as a foundation allows the 2-Day Training to be highly focused on using your voice and having the opportunity to put what you learn into practice.

Additionally, there are a number of supporting “warm-up” practices and script suggestions included in the training that focus specifically on coaching belly and nasal breathing in your participants before their first practice.

  • Most other breathwork trainings will give you lots of broad information and cover a wide range of techniques.

Aria Breath teaches you to share and coach one, specific technique – the most powerful, and most under-utilised one – very effectively, to ensure a transformative impact for your participants.

Aria Breath training is also far more affordable than most other trainings due to the fact this project is motivated by creativity and community.

  • No. We deeply respect Buteyko training, particularly that of Patrick McKeown, however, Aria Breath training is focused on music and coherence specifically – Aria is not the same as Buteyko for a number of reasons.

Primarily, Buteyko focuses on breathing depth, Aria is focused on breathing speed.

Buteyko is focused on blood chemistry, we are focused on nervous system balance first… and blood chemistry second.

Buteyko is focused on shifting CO2 tolerance; we are focused on increasing vagal tone (nervous system resilience). Both, ultimately, will reduce stress.

People who practice coherent breathing get most of the benefits of Buteyko (increased CO2 tolerance… but the opposite is not true, because Buteyko technique does not increase vagal tone.

Buteyko technique is not enjoyable (feels like air hunger) but coherent breathing is enjoyable (feels relaxing).

Patrick McKeown has endorsed Aria Breath and recommends it to his teachers.

Many of Aria Breath coaches have also completed Buteyko training and report that Aria Breath makes sharing lighter breathing easier, more engaging, and more enjoyable for their clients.

You do not need to study Buteyko to use Aria Breath effectively or vice versa.

Aria Breath is easier and safer to share than light breathing for reasons you will discover on the training.

The Buteyko training is mostly video courses, and large, non-interactive groups. Aria trainings are live, and interactive – limited to 14 participants.

  • No.

Whilst I’m sure your other training was excellent, Aria Breath is shared in specific ways based on years of practice and teacher feedback.

We take a different approach to safety. A different approach to using music. And a different approach to unlocking your creativity as a coach.
